Pingo is South Africa’s on-demand delivery network of choice, for the customers we deliver to and our driver partners.

Supporting and providing a safe working environment for our driver partners is very important to us. We have made sure we provide drivers with the right equipment, tools and support for them to perform at their best.

We are always looking for driver partners across the whole of South Africa.

Requirements

Valid Documents

Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license, South African work permit or South African ID card or document.

Mobile Device

Have a functional Android mobile device with roaming data.

Functional Vehicle

A fully functional and roadworthy vehicle or motorcycle.

Grade 12 Certificate

A Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 are essential with good verbal skills.

Communication Skills

Drivers must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in English in face-to-face dealings with customers.

Support

A Standard load box

Standard branded load boxes are fitted to ensure quality delivery of our customer’s products. All load boxes are branded with our client’s logos.

A branded uniform

Drivers will be supplied with uniforms which are designed for comfort and visibility. Uniforms are branded with our client’s logos.

Insurance

Pingo provides drivers with cost-effective and comprehensive insurance products. Our drivers are covered for accidents, theft, personal injury, 3rd party liability and death. Further detail will be provided during the onboarding process.

Earnings and Payments

Our drivers earn a highly competitive rate per delivery.

Payments are processed weekly, including delivery payments and tips.

Our drivers earn extra for additional drive-outs or extended drive distances.

Customers have the option to pay drivers a tip to show appreciation for good and efficient service.

Rentals

Renting options

Pingo supports qualifying drivers with a range of rented motorbike options.

Service intervals

The driver is required to service their motorbike at regular intervals. Pingo will contribute an agreed amount per month while the vehicle is under the rental agreement.

Access to a regional network

Drivers have access to a regional network of service centres to support their motorbike servicing and parts replacement.

What happens if my application is successful?

All our drivers go through an full induction process. This includes training on how to properly represent both Pingo and our client’s brands. The induction process includes training on the correct use of the delivery app.
